Whalehaven is a boutique Hermanus cellar situated at the entrance to the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. A visit to Whalehaven will most likely be the first or last stop when touring the area, so make sure to leave enough time to sample the vast array of exceptional wines on offer.
The Whalehaven classic range features the flagship Burgundian style Pinot Noir and Chardonnay as well as a multi-clone Merlot and a double gold winning pedigree Cabernet Franc. From the best seller Viognier Chardonnay white blend to the best value Old Harbour Red, you will find a range of wines to appeal to all palates and pockets.
The winery is owned by the Bottega family, who are also the producers of the exclusive Idiom Collection, an award-winning range of bold blends and rare Mediterranean varietals that hail from their Da Capo Vineyards property in the Helderberg. The Idiom range is also available for tasting at the cellar.
