SPOOKFONTEIN WINES
Spirit of the Valley.
Legend has it that in the flowing waters of the natural spring (“spookfontein”) one can see a spirit or ghost… We are a boutique, hands-on winery, very much red Bordeaux variety orientated, and comprising 11 ha of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir grapes.
Our wines are made using Old-World techniques with New-Age attitude. We keep our winemaking style simple and true to the character of the land and soil (terroir wines). Our aim is to make organic, single vineyard wines and the process towards organic certification has started.Spirit of the Valley.
