LOMOND WINES
Not far from the southernmost tip of Africa where the Atlantic and Indian oceans meet, lies Lomond, with vineyards set amidst the fynbos. The soil and weather pose a challenge for grapes but at the same time create wines filled with character and vigour.
The two single vineyards Sauvignon Blancs are named after the indigenous Pincushion and Sugarbush proteas that abound on the property, a Biodiversity and Wine Champion with 600 indigenous species.
The 2007 Pincushion Sauvignon Blanc earned a “World Best in its class” in the Decanter World Wide awards in 2008 and a gold medal in the 2009 Old Mutual Trophy awards. The Snowbush won gold at the London International Wine Challenge in 2009.Not far from the southernmost tip of Africa where the Atlantic and Indian oceans meet, lies Lomond, with vineyards set amidst the Fynbos.
