LISMORE ESTATE
Californian Samantha O’Keefe is into her fifth vintage at Lismore and she’s still breathing enthusiasm and young energy into the sleepy hamlet of Greyton. Thanks to Lismore’s vineyards and the excellent wines being produced there, the area has been declared a wine ward and Greyton can boast about being on the winelands demarcation map. When the Lismore Chardonnay first made its appearance on the shelves, the Sunday Times called it "the cult white of 2007".
Samantha is looking confidently to the new season to produce an exciting new vintage of the Chardonnay, Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc. Sip wine on the verandah, soak in the spectacular mountain views and find rural tranquility at its best.Californians Samantha O'Keefe & Jake Easton have brought a breath of fresh, young energy to the village of Greyton where they are enthusiastically growing grapes and making wine in the foothills of the Sonderend Mountains. Their first release, a Chardonnay, was the Sunday Times' cult white of 2007. Sip wine on their verandah while you momentarily slip into their dream. Stay over in the original farmhouse (1880) and find rural tranquility at its best.
