BADGERBERG ESTATE
Poised elegantly on the slopes of the Ratelberg, the Badgerberg Estate homestead seems to preside over the valley below, and is set to welcome visitors throughout the year. The cool afternoon breezes make their way from the Atlantic Ocean up the valley to embrace the vines on the picturesque southeastern mountain slopes. This ensures ideal conditions for slow ripening and the retention of concentrated flavour in the grapes. The wine tasting cellar awaits visitors with the warm hospitality of owners Lynnette and Heinz Mederer who share their magnificent views, gardens and birds willingly. The first MCC produced in the Villiersdorp valley was released in 2011 amidst enthusiastic acclaim. The Weinstube (wine tavern) situated alongside the charming dam is open most Saturdays during the season for super German food and Badgerberg wine.
